Ingredients
- 200 g minced beef
- 1 whole onion
- 2 slices cheese
- 30 g breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- to taste MSG
Instructions
- 1Peel and cut the onion

Place a whole onion on a wooden cutting board and peel the outer skin. Cut off the root end and slice the onion in half to prepare it for scooping out the center.
Tip: Keep the outer layers intact when preparing the onion rings. - 2Cut the onion in half

Place the peeled whole onion on the wooden cutting board and cut it in half horizontally to prepare it for scooping out the center rings.
Tip: Make sure the cut is stable and level on the board to prevent slipping. - 3Scoop out the center rings

Remove the center of the onion halves from the bottom, keeping the outer two layers of the onion ring intact to form the outer shell for the stuffing.
Tip: Be careful not to tear the outer two layers so they hold the meat filling securely. - 4Chop the leftover onion

Take the remaining pieces of onion that were removed from the center and finely chop them with a knife on the cutting board.
Tip: Chop them into small, even pieces so they cook evenly later when added around the pan. - 5Mix the hamburger meat

Put the minced beef into a red mixing bowl and add pepper, salt, MSG, breadcrumbs, and mayonnaise. Mix everything thoroughly together by hand.
Tip: Adding mayonnaise helps keep the minced beef moist and juicy while cooking. - 6Stuff the onion rings

Take the seasoned minced meat mixture and firmly stuff it into the hollowed-out onion rings, filling them completely.
Tip: Pack the meat tightly into the onion cavity so it doesnt shrink or fall out during cooking. - 7Pan-fry the stuffed onion rings

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully place the meat-stuffed onion rings into the pan and add the chopped onion pieces around them to cook together.
Tip: Ensure the pan is heated before placing the onion rings to get a good sear. - 8Flip the meat patties

After simmering the stuffed onion rings covered over low heat for 3 minutes, use a spatula to carefully flip each meat patty over to cook the other side.
Tip: Cover the lid while simmering to ensure the onion becomes tender and the meat cooks through evenly. - 9Add cheese on top

Once the meat patties are cooked and the outer onion is tender, place a slice of cheese on top of each meat-stuffed onion ring. Cover the lid and cook until the cheese is completely melted.
Tip: Lower the heat when melting the cheese so the bottom does not burn.
